This is my first blog entry and I hope that it reaches someone who can relate.  I am currently relaxing after a long day of teaching and banking.  My focus is scattered.  I’m waiting to hear back from the dean of the business department affirming her final stamp of approval on my research and simultaneously I’m waiting for the publishing of my book on a similar topic.  The days seem like they are creeping by as I wait for my book to be published and I wait for my dissertation to finally slip away into obscurity.  It seems like all of my hard work has come down to these two pillars of non-fiction.  I have spent 26 of my earthly years in the pursuit of knowledge and being so close to this dual publishing experience is bringing on a bit of anxiousness.  The dissertation is a formal end to the education I have so eagerly pursued.  The book is my attempt to pass on this knowledge to a broader audience.  I hope to find my true self in the middle of it all…

I need not to tell you, yet once more, how fine and profoundly important the book is. -Aldous Huxley
