There’s something magical about fall in New England — the crisp air, the shifting colors, and that quiet invitation to slow down and reflect. This season always feels like a turning point — not just in nature, but in the rhythm of life itself.
Lately, I’ve found myself in deep, meaningful conversations with people from all over the world — colleagues, collaborators, friends — each exploring what connection really means in their corner of the globe. It’s been energizing to see how universal the desire for belonging and shared purpose truly is.
I’m especially looking forward to welcoming my friend and fellow social capitalist, Tristan Claridge, for a visit soon. Tristan’s insights and contributions to the field of social capital have long inspired me, and I can’t wait to spend time in conversation — sharing ideas, stories, and maybe a few laughs over hot coffee and the sound of autumn leaves outside.
As we move toward Samhain and Halloween, I’m reminded that this time of year carries deep symbolism — a season for honoring transitions, remembering those who came before us, and embracing the balance between light and dark. In many ways, it mirrors the work of social capital: looking back with gratitude, staying present in our relationships, and preparing to build stronger connections for what comes next.
Here’s to meaningful dialogue, shared discovery, and the simple joy of gathering — whether around a fire, a dinner table, or a conversation that sparks new ideas.
Happy Fall, friends. 🍂
