Yule Reflections and the Road to 2026

We’ve celebrated Yule, honoring the return of the light, and now find ourselves standing at the threshold of a new year — that liminal space where reflection naturally gives way to possibility. I’ve always loved this time: when endings feel intentional, and beginnings feel earned.

As this Year of the Snake draws to a close, I find myself grateful for what it has asked of me. The snake teaches discernment, shedding, and quiet transformation. This year required patience, honesty, and a willingness to let go of what no longer fit — ideas, assumptions, even versions of myself that had served their purpose.

Ahead of us lies the Year of the Horse — movement, vitality, courage, and forward momentum. Where the snake was inward and deliberate, the horse is expansive and bold. It’s about stepping into the open field and trusting our legs, our breath, and our direction. That energy feels exactly right for what’s coming next.

I’ve been reflecting deeply on positive masculinity — not as performance, but as presence. Strength rooted in integrity. Leadership grounded in care. Men showing up fully: emotionally engaged, accountable, and connected. These conversations, whether on podcasts, stages, or around kitchen tables, continue to shape my work and my heart.

I’m also energized by new consulting ventures taking form — spaces where social capital, leadership, and human connection are not abstract ideas, but lived practices. The work ahead feels aligned, purposeful, and expansive in the best possible way.

As we step into the new year, I do so with gratitude for what has been, and excitement for what’s unfolding. If the energy gathering right now is any indication, 2026 is going to be something special — not because it will be easy, but because it will be intentional.

Here’s to light returning.
Here’s to movement and momentum.
Here’s to becoming what we’re ready to be.

Blessed Yule, and Happy New Year. 🕯️
